Media Portrays Biden as Furious Over Failing Presidency

CLAY: The Biden Administration is under siege, the likes of which we have not seen, from the media all of a sudden. Buck, last night I was reading, Politico had an article and it builds on a CNN article, and I think a Washington Post article as well, all of which have had essentially the same theme, which is the Biden White House, go figure, is totally lost and doesn’t know how to get its mojo back, so to speak, that morale is bad, that everything they are touching is leading to disaster, and that Joe Biden has been furious inside of the West Wing, both over what he feels like was a complete failure when it came to the baby formula crisis and the fact that they didn’t even tell him about it. That’s his claim.

And also that his poll numbers are worse than Donald Trump’s were at this point in the Trump presidency. And Biden, they say, is engaging in cursing fits throughout the White House, furious at all times. They don’t really know what to do. But the argument is — and this is not going to go well for them, I think — that Biden’s solution is to get him out on the road more where he’s talking to people.

And I’ve got to be honest with you, every time Joe Biden talks to anyone, I think he makes more of a mess of things because he can barely put two sentences together off of a teleprompter. And so as we’re now sitting five months out, it’s kind of an acknowledgment, Buck, that there is no great solution for all of the issues that are bedeviling the Biden Administration now.

BUCK: They’ll try all this stuff. We’ll see the January 6 hearings, and no one will remember them a day later, even the people who watch it because we’ve already heard all this stuff. We’ve already seen, they’ve been trying so hard to make this a thing that’s on the minds of the American people constantly.

But I do think they’re going to just get to batten down the hatches territory here, where they know the hurricane is coming in the midterm election. It’s just a question of what’s left standing of the Democrats afterwards. And that’s in terms of the ferocity of the winds of change here, that’s going to be on all of us to keep the focus on the failures, because they’re going to keep telling you it’s going to get better.

By the midterms we’re two years into this and what evidence do we have that this is going to get better, Clay? None, actually. That the people in charge know what they’re doing? They’ve done a lot of stuff they wanted to do and the results are bad. That’s what we actually have with the Democrat party.

CLAY: And there were supposed to be all these times for Biden to reset and get things back on track. Remember the State of the Union was going to be all that, all these different big speeches were going to be changing directions and trajectories of his approval rates. No, they are not working at all. Biden is way underwater.
