Two Breaking News Stories Since the Start of the Show

CLAY: Two stories that have broken since we came on the air today, Buck. First, Joe Manchin sounds like he’s gonna work as hard as he can alongside Chuck Schumer, who has covid and is not able to work right now. But what do you think he said, Buck, when Chuck Schumer tested positive for covid?

BUCK: Did he immediately genuflect and pray to the vaccine gods for after only eight shots, making this a cold that he’ll recover from in a week, like 99.7% of everybody else with shots or no shots? ‘Cause that’s what I think probably… I mean, we call it the covid genuflection, Clay.

CLAY: Yes. Test positive for covid despite the fact that you’ve had eight shots or whatever the heck number we’re on now and you immediately say you’re thankful for your covid shot lest you would have been far sicker.

BUCK: Can I just throw one thing out there really quickly? They’re going to be telling you with a straight face, “Guys, the fifth, sixth, and seventh shots are what really gets it done.” They’re going to be telling you this this year, okay? I want to like — can we mark this on the transcript. They’re going to be telling you in just a matter of months, shots five, six, seven, they’ll take care of it.

CLAY: And we mentioned this earlier in the show but I think it’s worth reflecting a preprint study that is being reported on — we’ve got an article up about it at OutKick — first two covid shots are only 5% effective at keeping you from getting or spreading covid. Third booster shot, only 20% effective. Both of those numbers continue to fade rapidly. So, Manchin it appears, Buck — and we’ve been talking about this, and I just want to make people aware of it — Joe Biden is going to try to ram through at least one or more (unintelligible) that could be accompanied by a tax cut. So, we’re gonna talk to Senator Ron Johnson in the third hour of the program. We’ll see what he expects there.

We really are in a situation where Republicans need to just run out the clock because by the end of July it gets very difficult to get anything passed in August or September. The fiscal year calendar ends, I believe, on September 30th; so it’s very difficult to get a budget bill passed. Again, we’ll ask about this. But I just want all of you out there to recognize that the Biden administration is becoming aware of the landslide that is going to move against them in the House and potentially the Senate. And as a result, they are trying to get through whatever legislation they can in the next month or so.

We need people to hold the ground and keep Biden from making it worse. So, Manchin sounds like he’s going to be willing to make this happen. Those are quotes that were out there that have come out since we started the show. The other part of news that has broken since we started the show, Buck, Joe Biden is headed to Saudi Arabia to go on bended knee to that country and beg for them to produce more oil because, of course, somehow, it’s better for Saudi Arabia to be producing more oil as opposed to the United States. And as part of that story we talked about, they said they couldn’t have combined it with the European trip because Biden couldn’t manage, but he’s headed to the Middle East this week.

BUCK: And we all recall under the Trump administration, I think it was in 2018 or 2019, the Jamal Khashoggi incident where Democrats lost their minds for weeks about how Donald Trump wasn’t doing enough to Saudi Arabia and Donald Trump is in the pocket of the Saudis and all this stuff, cut off diplomatic relations with them, take it to them, and all this stuff. Joe Biden’s going over there now to beg them to produce more oil. Guess who’s in charge, everybody? I just want everyone to be clear. It is the same MBS, okay, same guy, but when it was Trump in office speaking to the Saudis was, oh, so awful and terrible. But when Biden goes over there to beg for a little more of that black gold to come out of the ground, it’s just politics, man, it’s just foreign policy, no big deal. I bring it up not because it’s a surprise but it is important for us all to remember, the people who harangue us all from the biggest lib platforms in the country are frauds with no principles. Just remember that.

CLAY: And as a part of that trip over there, you oftentimes get gifts that kind of pave the way. And remember Biden referred to Saudi Arabia as a “pariah state,” basically said he would have no interaction with them. He’s now going on bended knee over there. And today, in the last hour, the Wall Street Journal announced and broke this news that Joe Biden’s Department of Justice, which we all know is maybe the most political Department of Justice ever, headline, Wall Street Journal exclusive: “PGA Tour Faces Antitrust Probe in LIV Golf Battle.”

Okay, for those of you who haven’t been paying attention to this, the LIV tour is owned by the Saudis. So, the PGA Tour has been going in a battle with the LIV tour; so, for Biden’s administration to allow this news to be broken, the week that they are going to Saudi Arabia, it feels very much like a gesture of goodwill to the Saudis to say, “Hey, we’re gonna look into the PGA and its anti-competitive behavior associated with this.” Now, if you’re not a big golf fan you may not have paid attention to this battle that’s been going on where the LIV tour has been trying to sign some of the biggest golfers. I bet, Buck, your dad knows all about this. They signed Phil Mickelson.

BUCK: We can have him on as a special guest just to talk about this topic. I know. I have not followed this at all.

CLAY: Dustin Johnson and Brooks Koepka. There are a lot of guys that have made the move from the PGA Tour to the LIV tour and they’ve been castigated by the mainstream media because the LIV tour is owned by the Saudis. But I just don’t think it’s coincidental that this story about a Department of Justice investigation into a major competitor of the Saudis comes out the week that Joe Biden is headed to Saudi Arabia.

BUCK: I’m also wondering when all the people with the Ukraine flags in their bios are gonna stop to realize that Russia is taking more ground every day, that the Russian war in Ukraine that Biden, all that stuff, “Oh, thankfully we got Joe Biden!” They were saying, “He’s real foreign policy ace, he’s gonna be great.” We may not… People keep talking about us supplying them. We may not be able to supply them with enough bombs and artillery shells and everything else to help them even keep the fight going, Clay. So, on the foreign policy side of things, Biden is a disaster too. But the thing is there are so many disasters here at home that people aren’t even paying attention to that one.

CLAY: Well, we talked about this when it happened, Buck. We said, how long will the United States people care about what’s going on in Ukraine? And the answer is seemed to be about three weeks, and then everybody basically turned the page and doesn’t really care anymore.

BUCK: Yep.

CLAY: And Vladimir Putin gambled on that, effectively, that our interest level would be low, and now he is slowly taking over the country.

BUCK: Remember when Biden was gonna cripple the Russian economy? Apparently, he read it wrong off the prompter. He didn’t cripple the Russian economy, but he did cripple ours. Good job, Biden.
